چکیده

Abstract This paper analyzes thermo-optical reactions of the PCM-based glass element which has capability to store thermal energy together with a variable transparency level through storage process corresponding phase change. Optical properties are determined by transition at given boundary conditions over time. Special uncommon changes occur during its internal processes, from liquid solid and vice versa (latent heat fusion) within narrow range temperature interval. PCM acts as random diffusive media relevant scattering effects in phase, however state highly transparent direct transmission no effect. These physical were detailly identified experimental test procedures based on optical measurements performed using spectrophotometry, parallelly stabilization each set provided environmental chamber. As result that, differences spectral feature can be for different states (solid/liquid) transmittance spectra unstable rapid change process. provides substantial base line optimization glazing system terms various degree freedom building types climate zones.

Disclination-mediated thermo-optical response in nematic glass sheets.

Nematic solids respond strongly to changes in ambient heat or light, significantly differently parallel and perpendicular to the director. This phenomenon is well characterized for uniform director fields but not for defect textures. We analyze the elastic ground states of a nematic glass in the membrane approximation as a function of temperature for some disclination defects with an eye toward...

Computational Simulation of Ablation Phenomena in Glass-filled Phenolic Composites

A one–dimensional, transient and thermal degradation model for predicting responses of composite materials when are exposed to the fire is presented. The presented model simulates ablation of composites with different layers of materials and considers material properties as functions of temperature. The reactions are modeled by using Arrhenius-type parameters and density-temperature diagram...

MRI of Central Nervous System Paracoccidioidomycosis (PCM)

The actual frequency of paracoccidioidomycosis of the central nervous system (CNS) is not known, because neurological investigation of the patients is not routinely done and in many cases the CNS involvement may be silent [1]. The incidence of CNS involvement in several studies varied from 10 to 27 % [2]. Of the relatively small number of cases reported in the literature, the two most common cl...
